Hear the secret behind the development of the embroidery brooch kit from the person in charge of development!
A new bead embroidery brooch kit was released on October 21st.
The currently popular bead embroidery has been made into a kit with the motifs of adorable winter animals such as the long-tailed moth, squirrel, and sheep. So this time, we interviewed the person in charge of kit development to talk about the development secrets!
All of them are stories that make manufacturing more fun and make you feel closer to it. We also showed you recommended ways to use it.
We aim to create high-quality brooches that adults will want to use on a regular basis.
Developer:
First of all, when designing it, we aimed forSophisticated design for everyday usea sophisticated design that can be used on a daily basis.
Not only does it bring out the cuteness of winter animals, but it's also fun to make and use. To achieve this, I thought that it needed to have a high-quality feel that adults could use on a daily basis as a ``brooch,'' so I designed it while also taking into account the size.
Interviewer:
A smart design that is easy to use will increase your motivation from the time you create!
Materials include not only seed beads but also pearls.Kiwa crystalsa lot.
Developer:
By making full use of the beautiful sparklingKiwa crystals, we expressed a sense of luxury and the texture of animal fur that cannot be obtained with seed beads alone. Also, the big point of this time is theFinished three-dimensionally, which has a three-dimensional finish with darts that are not found in other embroidered brooches!
Interviewer:
By making it look like a semi-3D model, the plumpness of the long-tailed moth's belly, the volume of the squirrel's tail, and the curly texture of the sheep are emphasized, making it very cute.
A design created through trial and error.
A design created through trial and error.
Developer:
By making it three-dimensional, we were able to express the gentle atmosphere of the animals. It is also attractive that it blends well with clothes and can be used in a variety of situations.
We repeatedly examined the shapes of the animals, how to insert the darts, etc. to achieve the ideal shape, and came up with the final design.
Interviewer:
Were there any other difficulties during development?
Developer:
We went through trial and error thinking about ``what'' to place in the small, limited space of a brooch. There are alsoKiwa crystals, bamboo beads, round and small beads... I carefully looked at the balance of large and small beads and tried to symbolically express the characteristics of the animal.
Developer:
For example, the striped long-tailed moth is mostly covered with white feathers in winter, but even though it is white, it can be expressed with bamboo beads, or the color can be changed on the wings or around the belly of the tail.Kiwa crystals.
Also, I tried to make it stay on a branch to give a better view of the world. This is the only part that is made using simple thread stitch.
Developer:
I made the squirrel's body smaller than the original design and emphasized the fluffy feel of its tail. After that, adjust the body again to match the size of the other items.
I think the lace stitching on the tail gives it a fluffy feel.
Interviewer:
I actually made it myself, and it was fun to see how the tail became more and more gorgeous with the lace stitching!
Developer:
The Sheep was adopted from next year's zodiac sign, but considering ease of use, we created it in the image of the constellation "Aries". In the winter, it is covered with fluffy fur, so you can see that with lace stitching. We also verified the size of the beads to make it more voluminous.
Actually, Aries is a constellation that can be seen from October to March, so it is highly recommended to wear it during this season.♪
Value the time to sew and create each piece by hand.
Cherish the time you spend sewing and creating by hand.
Developer:
The lines are pre-printed on the felt, so there is no problem when making them, but the beads themselves have their own individuality, and the expression changes depending on where you insert the needle in relation to the line.
Consider the number of beads in the recipe diagram as a basic guideline, and if you follow the recipe and there is still space, add more beads, or if there are too many beads, make adjustments such as inserting fewer beads than the standard but not any more. The finished product will be beautiful if you make adjustments.
Please enjoy the luxurious time of carefully creating each stitch.
Listener:
The videos exclusive to buyers are also detailed and very easy to understand.
Developer:
That's right. Please watch the video and try making it! The recipe diagram also includes tips on how to make the ball, such as the position of the clasp, and how to recover if the thread breaks.
Developer:
Also, the brooch is small and has a dart cut, so when cutting felt, we recommendcraft scissorswhich can be used delicately and cut well!
Kiwaseisakujoalso has "craft scissors", so if you don't have them, please purchase them as well.
For long-term use.
Teach recommended usage.
Interviewer:
I can imagine putting it on coats and bags, but what else do you put it on?
Developer:
My hobby is knitting, so I attach it to the bags and mini stoles I make!
It goes well with colorful knits like the bag in this photo and the first photo, as well as chic wools such as gray. You can use it depending on your mood that day. In the photo, a mini stole is tied to the bag.
Developer:
You can also match it with trendy denim. We recommend pairing it with this season's popular triangular stole!
